Center for Learning and Information Resources

The MCM Center for Learning and Information Resources (CLIR) exists in support of the teaching, research, and extension functions of MCM.

As a Library, the Center for Learning and Information Resources is committed to provide :

  • Well balanced collection to complement the academic programs of MCM
  • Appropriate facilities and equipment that shall enable the users to fully utilize the resources
  • Instant access to various formats of information in any part of the country and of the world
  • Environment that encourages learning through quality services
  • Staff that shall guide the students and researchers in their quest for learning

MCM Students, academic and administrative officers, teaching and non-teaching employees, and outside researchers with referral letters from their respective colleges/universities are all welcome in the Center.

For assistance in the availment of CLIR’s facilities and services, they may see the Librarian, Mrs. Charlita T. Pangan and the library Aide, Mr. Marlon C. Arcillas .


Students who are officially enrolled for the term/semester are entitled to avail of the services of the center. This becomes automatic upon payment of appropriate matriculation fees.

Loan of materials

This service aims to support the instructional and research programs of MCM. It is along this line that MCM aims to strengthen its collection, by making available materials that will meet the needs of students, faculty members and the entire MCM community.

To avail:
Patron presents materials to borrow with his/her ID at the circulation counter

Readers Assistance

Assists users in the selection of library materials on the subject of inquiry and directs researchers to appropriate sources of information available in the Center.

To avail:
Patron asks for assistance in searching for materials needed from the CLIR personnel at the counter

Cyber Search

Supports the speedy exchanges of information and the instructional and research needs of the academic community through electronic mail and access in the internet.

To Avail:
Users are free to browse the net and use the computer units in the cyber search area.

Discussion Room Booking

Five rooms in the Library are bookable at the circulation counter for a 2-hour topic deliberation or presentation practice. They are not to be reserved for teaching, social activities, or commercial purposes. Only groups with 4-8 members are qualified to book.

To avail the patrons must do the ff:

  1. Booker secures Discussion Room Booking Slip (DRBS) from the circulation counter and fills it out
  2. Submits slip to CLIR Personnel for approval
  3. Submits Booking slip to the Roving Guard who will open the room

One hour usage extension is allowed if no prior reservation on the next schedule was granted.

Headphone Loan

Supports the needs of the patrons to listen to audio sounds in private for three hours.

To avail:

  1. Leave school ID to CLIR personnel as guarantee
  2. Fill-out Headphone Log Sheet
