“I accepted this office because I wanted to give back to the MMCM community for all the learning, both inside and outside the classroom, that I received here. This is not only a way of giving back, but also a way of continually developing ourselves as student-leaders. So on behalf of the officers, I want to express my gratitude for being offered these positions.” Ms. Ronalyn Chan, President of the Mapúa MCM High School Alumni Association, also provided inspiration for the event in her acceptance speech.
The College Alumni Association President, Mr. Raphael Loren Dalangin, also addressed the group with his message of acceptance. “Active membership will allow us to contribute by mentoring students, helping in community activities, and providing opportunities to new graduates. Membership also grants you access to reunions, get-togethers, career-related events and activities, and information regardingthe status and development of MMCM.”
Engr. Alejandro H. Ballado Jr. concluded the event with his advice to choose a distinctive name for their alumni batch, “Create your own identity as the first alumni of the newly appointed officials of Mapúa Malayan Colleges of Mindanao.”
