Career and Internship Fair 2025 Bridges Academia and Industry at Mapúa MCM 

On April 3, 2025, Mapúa Malayan Colleges Mindanao (Mapúa MCM) successfully hosted the Career and Internship Fair 2025 (CIF25) at the Mapúa MCM Plaza, bringing together students and top industry leaders for a full day of networking, opportunity, and career development. 

With the theme “Excellence Meets Industry Relevance,” the event opened with a welcome address by EVP/COO Engr. Alejandro H. Ballado, Jr., followed by company presentations from Alsons Development and Investment Corporation, Ana’s Breeders Farms, Inc., Phinma Properties Sales & Marketing, Inc., and JJ Valderrama Behavioral Management Center. 

Eighteen industry partners were recognized for their active participation and support: Alsons Development and Investment Corporation, Ana’s Breeders Farms, Inc., Phinma Properties Sales & Marketing, Inc., JJ Valderrama Behavioral Management Center, Shopping Center Management Corporation, Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board XI, San Miguel Brewery, HI5 Solutions OPC, Philippine Genome Center Satellite Facility in UP Mindanao, Filmspire Multimedia Productions, Dusit Thani Hotel Davao, Telemondo, RCBC, Department of Information and Communications Technology-XI, AwesomeCX by Transcom, VXI Global Holdings B.V., Optum Global Solutions Philippines, Inc., and LAK-K Builders. 

Spearheaded by the Center for Career and Placement, this initiative was specifically designed to assist incoming student interns in finding suitable employers or companies where they can fulfill their On-the-Job Training (OJT) requirements. By connecting students directly with industry representatives, the fair offered invaluable opportunities such as early exposure to the professional world, clearer career direction, and the chance to build lasting networks in their chosen fields. 

A total of 268 students participated in CIF25. Of these, 159 students submitted their application documents, and 159 students were interviewed during the fair.  

The event also reinforced Mapúa MCM’s commitment to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, particularly SDG 4 (Quality Education), SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth), SDG 9 (Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure), and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals), as it fostered collaboration between the academe and industry while empowering students to take their first step toward a successful and impactful career.
