Malayans Blaze In: Davao Pride Basketball League Season 3

On February 16, 2020, at the RMC Petrogazz Gym, Mapúa Malayan Colleges Mindanao’s Official Basketball Team — The MapúaMCM Blazing Legions (Senior High School) — had won 1st Runner-Up at the Davao Pride Basketball League (DPBL) Season 3 under the Aspirant’s Category, a category for teams just coming into the scene at DPBL, as this is the first league that the MapúaMCM basketball team has joined since its establishment. 

The school had gone up against 12 other participating schools and blazed through to 1st Runner-Up with 4 months of preparation with their Coach, Winchester Lemen, and Asst. Coach, Omar Dayrit Rutia. The team received a trophy and a cash prize of P8,000. 

Members of the Senior High School team under the Blazing Legions were Denzel Jonathan A. Libre, Daniel Joshua M. Guerrero, Vincent Roi A. Recla, Revie Jan B. Labasantos, Jeaven Bruce S. Bustamante, Giovan B. Binobo, Jose Abelardo Navidad, Kristian Kyle O. Prado, Jan Aaron Vince J. Naparan, Carlo Daro, Hesham Mangacop Esmael, Layne Overly, John Puebla, and Arvin Gillo.
