Mapúa Malayan Colleges Mindanao (Mapúa MCM) strengthened student career readiness through the Career Toolkit and Workplace Essentials webinar under the Internship and Professional Readiness Enhancement Program (iPREP). Designed to equip incoming 3T interns with practical skills for professional environments. 

Organized by the Office for Corporate Partnerships – Center for Career and Placement, the initiative engaged students from Tourism Management, Engineering and Architecture, and the College of Health Sciences – Psychology and Biology programs. The session focused on enhancing professional communication, self-presentation, and workplace adaptability, while introducing industry-aligned tools such as résumés, e-portfolios, and application materials.

The webinar featured expert-led sessions from industry professionals who shared insights on key aspects of career preparation. Ms. Rosinie Tenajeros, Customer Success Executive of SeeMeSol Philippines, discussed resume writing, interview techniques, and proper workplace grooming. Mr. Aldwin V. Mahusay, Assistant Director and Regional HR Business Partner for VisMin at Globe Telecom, Inc., guided participants in developing effective e-portfolios aligned with current industry standards. Meanwhile, Ms. Fortune Mae E. Talandang, Psychology Professional and Mental Health Advocate from the Philippine Mental Health Association – Davao City Chapter, led a session on stress management, emphasizing the importance of mental well-being in professional growth.

Through these engagements, students gained practical insights into transitioning from academic life to the workplace, reinforcing the value of professionalism, adaptability, and continuous development in their chosen careers. 

Through initiatives such as this, Mapúa MCM continues to enhance career preparedness and industry alignment among its students, supporting its commitment to SDG 4 – Quality Education, SDG 8 – Decent Work and Economic Growth, and SDG 3 – Good Health and Well-being.
