Mapúa Malayan Colleges Mindanao (Mapúa MCM) continues to strengthen its position on the global stage after earning significant recognition in the 2026 World University Rankings for Innovation (WURI).
This year, Mapúa MCM climbed to Rank 238 in the Global Top 500, marking a remarkable 57-place jump from its 2025 placement and registering a 26.15% improvement in global standing. With this achievement, the institution remains the top-performing higher education institution in Davao Region (Region XI) in the WURI rankings.
WURI recognizes higher education institutions that create meaningful real-world impact through innovative education, research, leadership, sustainability initiatives, and community engagement. Unlike traditional rankings that primarily focus on academic reputation and research output, WURI highlights universities that champion transformative and future-ready approaches to higher education.
For WURI 2026, Mapúa MCM earned placements across nine categories, including eight newly ranked entries, reflecting the institution’s expanding footprint in innovation, sustainability, artificial intelligence, research, and global engagement.
