Mapúa MCM Strengthens Research Culture in Basic Education Through SOAR HIGH 2026

Mapúa Malayan Colleges Mindanao’s (Mapúa MCM) Office for Research, Development, and Innovation (ORDI), in collaboration with the High School Department , successfully conducted the Search for Outstanding Awardees for Research in High School (SOAR HIGH) 2026 on May 7, 2026, at the RG Birrey Building.

Now in its second year, SOAR HIGH serves as a recognition platform for exemplary research and innovation outputs developed by senior high school students. The competition highlights the institution’s commitment to fostering a culture of inquiry, creativity, and evidence-based problem-solving among young learners.

The event featured presentations under the Research and Innovation categories, providing students with an opportunity to demonstrate their ability to apply scientific and technological knowledge to contemporary challenges. Entries were evaluated based on technical merit, originality, relevance, and presentation quality. 

SOAR HIGH 2026 reflects Mapúa MCM’s continuing efforts to strengthen research engagement at the pre-college level and to encourage the development of future scientists, engineers, innovators, and researchers. Awardees of the competition will be formally recognized during the official High School Graduation Ceremony in acknowledgment of their outstanding achievements.
