Mapúa Malayan Colleges Mindanao (Mapúa MCM) students participated in SUBAY: Navigating the Technical & Ethical Path in Artificial Intelligence Hackathon 2026 on October 14, 2026, at the University of Mindanao, Matina Campus, Davao City. Organized by Developers Connect (DEVCON) Philippines – Davao Chapter, the event brought together college students from technology-related programs to explore artificial intelligence (AI) and its applications.
The one-day activity aimed to strengthen participants’ AI competencies through expert-led masterclasses and a rapid hackathon. It provided an opportunity for students to collaborate, develop AI-driven solutions, and present their projects through live pitching, encouraging them to apply their technical knowledge to practical challenges while considering the technical and ethical dimensions of AI.
