MapúaMCM Holiday Treat Children’s Party 2019

Holiday Treat Children’s Party: Celebrating Families at MapúaMCM this Holiday Season.

On December 7, 2019, the Human Resource Management Department in coordination with the McDonalds Matina Branch held a Holiday Treat Children’s Party at the MapúaMCM Plaza for the children of the Mapúa Malayan Colleges Mindanao (MapúaMCM) employees and staff.

Around 75 children and 50 parents and guardians gathered at the plaza. The McDonald’s representatives began the opening program, welcoming all the kids and gathering them to the middle to play various parlor games wherein the winners would be given loot bags from McDonalds.

The event was an endeavor spearheaded by the Human Resources Management (HRM) Department of Mapúa Malayan Colleges Mindanao. The HRM Head, Ms. Kareen Michelle Q. Limpot, explained that MapúaMCM’s sister schools — Malayan Colleges Laguna and Mapúa University — had been conducting events such as these for a long while and now that since MapúaMCM is steadily growing in number and manpower, it was high time that it join in the tradition.

“We just wanted to give thanks… extend the ‘thank you’ of MapúaMCM up to their dependants.”

After the games, one of the children of the security personnel, Xanderson Laure, sang a wonderful rendition of Buwan by Juan Carlos for children and parents in the audience. Then, food from McDonalds was served to everyone in attendance.

To conclude the event, three special guests — one from McDonalds and two from MapúaMCM — went in to greet the children: Grimace from the McDonalds family and our very own MapúaMCM mascots, Whizzy and Dash! The children immediately gathered around them to take pictures and embrace the special guests of honor, officially concluding the MapúaMCM Holiday Treat Children’s Party for the day.

One of the parents in attendance and Head of the Treasury Office of MapúaMCM, Ms. Rebecca Angelica Villanueva, commented positively on the importance of the event, and her experience during:

“I got to enjoy kasi nakita ko yung mga kids na nag-eenjoy… It was a fun event. It is important in the sense that the employees also feel that they are a part of the family — of the whole community, and even their kids and their families are also part of the MapúaMCM family.”
