Mapúa Malayan Colleges Mindanao (Mapúa MCM) formally welcomed a new set of alumni leaders as the newly appointed officers of the Mapúa MCM College Alumni Association (MCAA) and Mapúa MCM High School Alumni Association (MHSAA) took their oath of office at the SMX Function Room on September 28, 2026.
The ceremony marked the induction of the third batch of appointed officers of the College Alumni Association and the second batch of appointed officers of the High School Alumni Association, bringing together graduates from different programs, strands, and batches to strengthen alumni engagement and service to the Mapúa MCM community.

The ceremony was hosted by Ms. Katrina Andrea D. Diligencia, Partnerships Officer of the Office for Corporate Partnerships (OCP), who guided the program as the newly appointed alumni leaders formally took on their roles and responsibilities.

Opening the ceremony, Engr. Alejandro H. Ballado Jr., Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Mapúa MCM, welcomed the new officers and underscored the important role alumni play in sustaining their connection with the institution and contributing to its community.

The newly appointed officers were formally presented by Mr. Leopoldo D. Aquino, Jr., Director of the Office for Corporate Partnerships and Alumni Affairs, who highlighted how the two associations have already begun translating alumni engagement into meaningful service and community initiatives.

This commitment was already evident prior to their formal induction, with alumni leaders and volunteers working together on initiatives such as the alumni-led implementation of Program H.E.L.P.: Help End Learning Poverty at Carmen Integrated School.

Leading the third batch of appointed MCAA officers is Engr. Francis Adrian Gamad, an Electrical Engineering graduate from Batch 2023.
In his acceptance message, Engr. Gamad reflected on the responsibility entrusted to the new officers and emphasized that alumni engagement extends beyond graduation, calling on fellow graduates to remain connected and transform their experiences into meaningful service.
“Our journey as alumni did not end when we received our diplomas. In many ways, that was only the beginning. Mapúa Malayan Colleges Mindanao is more than a school we attended—it is part of who we are, and it will always be a place we can call home.”
He further encouraged the alumni community to actively participate and give back:

In his acceptance message, Mr. Felicia emphasized that alumni engagement extends beyond staying connected with Mapúa MCM—it is about transforming that connection into meaningful participation, service, and collective action.

Long before this oath-taking, we have already been working together—through alumni engagements, community initiatives, and activities that brought our alumni closer to our institution. These experiences have shown us that being an alumnus is not simply about where we came from, but also about what we are willing to do together.”
Mr. Felicia further emphasized the Alumni Association’s role as a partner of Mapúa MCM:

The new officers represent graduates from different batches, academic programs, and Senior High School strands, bringing diverse experiences and perspectives to both alumni associations and strengthening representation across the Mapúa MCM alumni community.
Through the Office for Corporate Partnerships and Alumni Affairs, Mapúa MCM continues to collaborate with the College and High School Alumni Associations in creating meaningful opportunities for alumni engagement, professional networking, community service, institutional partnerships, and programs that reconnect graduates with their alma mater.
The strengthening of these alumni associations supports United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 17: Partnerships for the Goals, providing a structured platform for sustained collaboration between Mapúa MCM and its alumni community and mobilizing alumni participation, networks, expertise, and resources toward shared initiatives.
With their oath of office, the newly appointed officers begin a new chapter of leadership and service—not only as graduates of Mapúa MCM, but as alumni leaders committed to connecting fellow Mapúans, creating opportunities, giving back, and strengthening the alumni community for the years ahead.
