An online conference was also held there titled Mindanao Art Talks where famous artists, critics, and curators would sit and chat with the committee on various topics tackling art in Mindanao.

The physical exhibit at the campus held artworks created by various famous Mindanaowan painters and sculptors such as Kublai Millan, Leonardo “Bing” Cariño, Cacho Gemcache Ferrero, and was visited by prominent individuals such as the Consul General of Japan in Davao City, Miwa Yoshiako, and the Davao City Vice Mayor, Sebastian “Baste” Duterte who had visited to receive thirty Huna-Hunaw Art Sinks that were exhibited at the Art Fair and donated by the Rotary Club of Downtown Davao.

Due to popular demand, the exhibit had been extended from November 8 to November 15, 2020 at the MapúaMCM Campus, still ensuring that all visitors book appointments to avoid crowding and that they follow the proper safety protocols.

For those who cannot visit the physical exhibit, Mindanao Art has ensured there still be a virtual platform to view all the artworks and galleries from at min-art.org. Student volunteers for the MapúaMCM Hyperlinks also came together to create a vlog of their experience at the exhibit which you can watch here

Overall, The Mindanao Art Fair was a success that bolstered Mindanao art and culture within the region, inspiring others and ensuring that despite the pandemic, art will never fade and will continue to stay whether on physical or digital platforms.

The Mindanao Art Fair was organized by Lawig-Diwa Inc. and sponsored by the National Commission for Culture and Arts (NCAA).
