September 6, 2024 | Mapúa MCM Accreditation Room 

In line with its commitment to ensuring the quality of educational institutions, the Department of Education (DepEd), through the Quality Assurance Division (QAD), conducted an ocular inspection and validation of Mapúa Malayan Colleges Mindanao’s (Mapúa MCM) Junior High School (JHS) application for Government Recognition on September 6, 2024, at the Mapúa MCM Accreditation Room. 

This initiative is part of DepEd’s regulatory services, aimed at assessing the compliance of school applicants with the necessary standards and requirements set by the department. The ocular inspection is a critical step in the evaluation process to guarantee that institutions meet the educational and infrastructural standards necessary to provide quality education. By conducting these inspections and validations, DepEd ensures that schools adhere to guidelines that align with the department’s vision of providing every Filipino learner access to a high-quality, relevant, and globally competitive education. 

Mapúa MCM, seeking Government Recognition for its Junior High School program, actively participated in the inspection, providing all necessary documentation and facilitating an in-depth review of its facilities, teaching methods, and administrative processes. The school has been evaluated as compliant with the regulatory requirements set by DepEd, reflecting Mapúa MCM’s dedication to maintaining high standards of education. 

The DepEd regional monitoring committee, composed of distinguished representatives led by Dr. Alfeo B. Ingay, EPS, QAD; Dr. Rubilyn Dee R. Ampong, EPS, QAD; Dr. Ma. Cristina B. Dioniso, EPS, QAD; Dr. Janete B. Esteban, EPS; Ms. Ma. Flora C. Arcenal, SEPS; and Dr. Leah C. Saavedra, EPS II, conducted a comprehensive review during the visit. Their assessment covered a wide range of criteria, including the school’s compliance with curriculum standards, teacher qualifications, learning resources, and the overall learning environment. 

Mapúa MCM has always been committed to upholding and exceeding educational standards. The institution provided full cooperation and support to the DepEd committee, ensuring a transparent and seamless evaluation process. This demonstrates Mapúa MCM’s dedication to continuously improving its systems to better serve its students and meet the evolving needs of the educational sector.
