In today’s competitive job market, the true measure of a school’s success lies not just in academic achievement, but in how well its graduates thrive after leaving the classroom. For Mapúa Malayan Colleges Mindanao (Mapúa MCM), that success is clear and measurable — with employment outcomes continuing to climb year after year.

The institution recently reported its highest institutional employment rate to date, reaching 93.54% for graduates of School Year 2023–2024.

Based on data from the institution’s Graduate Tracking System (GTS), this milestone reflects a strong and consistent upward trend in graduate employability over the past three years:

  • SY 2021–2022: 83.33%
  • SY 2022–2023: 89.81%
  • SY 2023–2024: 93.54%

The GTS is a comprehensive platform developed in partnership with iPeople (a Philippine education group that is a joint venture between the Yuchengco Group of Companies and Ayala Corporation), one of the country’s leading education companies. It monitors alumni career trajectories through a 180-day tracking period post-graduation, primarily through direct calls and follow-ups with graduates. The system collects employment data from both Labor Force Participants (LFP) and Non-Labor Force Participants (NLFP), including those who secure employment through self-employment, family businesses, or prior to graduation.

Mapúa MCM’s graduate pool has grown over the years — from 116 graduates in SY 2021–2022, to 158 in SY 2022–2023, and reaching 291 in SY 2023–2024. These graduates have successfully entered a wide range of industries, such as business process outsourcing (BPO), construction, real estate and business activities, education, manufacturing, wholesale and retail trade, information technology, engineering services, creative design, and public sector and government services. These employment outcomes demonstrate the institution’s effectiveness in preparing its students for the diverse needs of the labor market.

From 2021 to 2024, nine academic programs have achieved a 100% employment rate. These include Tourism Management, Information Systems, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Communication and Entertainment and Multimedia Computing. The Entrepreneurship program also achieved full employment in SY 2021–2022. As part of its commitment to career-readiness, Mapúa MCM continues to enhance its academic programs, strengthen employer linkages, and improve graduate tracking and support mechanisms.

With these efforts, the institution aims to further raise employment outcomes and maintain its strong track record in producing work-ready professionals.
