Visits at Davao International Container Terminal and Franklin Baker
Starting February 10, 2022, MapúaMCM conducted site visits, and surveyed the health and safety protocols of its partner companies. Engr. Michael Alquizar, MapúaMCM General Facilities Officer, ran the safety guidelines through the partner companies to ensure the welfare of the student interns deployed to each site. In turn, the aforementioned partners discussed the compliance of these measures.
“During the company visits, we discussed the measures that the companies will be complying with upon the onboarding of the students. The checklist that we prepared covers a list of preventive measures that help reduce contact rate, manage symptomatic individuals, and control ventilation within the work area,” Engr. Alquizar explained.

MapúaMCM, through its Office for Corporate Partnerships and Institutional Facilities Office, will continue to collaborate with MapúaMCM partner companies and guarantee the safety and protection of the students under its onsite work immersion program.
“[As we start conducting] face-to-face classes, MapúaMCM through OCP and IFO made it a requirement to visit its partner companies to ensure that they are strictly adhering to the safety protocols. While we want to give the best industry-based training experience to all 4th year MapúaMCM students taking up practicum/OJT course, safety and protection will continue to be on its top priority,” Mr. Leopoldo D. Aquino, Jr., OCP Head, stressed the importance of its students’ safety.
