Notre Dame of Marbel University Explores Mapúa MCM’s Best Practices in Laboratory Innovation

Mapúa Malayan Colleges Mindanao (Mapúa MCM) welcomed delegates from Notre Dame of Marbel University (NDMU) for a benchmarking visit on September 19, 2025, aimed at strengthening academic collaboration and promoting shared growth through innovation, sustainability, and quality education.

Organized by the Mapúa MCM College of Health Sciences (CHS) together with the Institutional Facilities Office (IFO) , the benchmarking activity aimed to provide participants with an enriching global learning experience — showcasing how institutions can deliver impactful educational opportunities regardless of physical location.

The visit highlighted Mapúa MCM’s commitment to providing transformative learning experiences as NDMU representatives toured key facilities, including the Multifunctional Laboratory, Simulation Laboratory, Chemistry Laboratory, and the Botanical Garden. These state-of-the-art facilities showcased the institution’s best practices in integrating technology, hands-on learning, and sustainability into its academic programs.

This initiative also reinforces the shared commitment of both institutions to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) — particularly SDG 4 (Quality Education) through innovative teaching and learning environments, SDG 9 (Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure) by integrating advanced technologies into education, SDG 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities) through environmental stewardship, and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals) by building strong academic networks.
