STUDENT OUTPUTS
MMA114L - 3D Animation
The Rift revolves around a friendship between two girls that gets split over misinformation about an archeological discovery, and unintended consequences of poor education.
Petra and Kyra were childhood friends and remained that away even as they were separated academically, until the discovery took place and so did the fake news exaggerating claims of its actual contents. Given the biased nature of the low-cost LMS Kyra only had access to and her somewhat compliant personality, the discovery drove both girls away from each other.
Fully animated in Blender 4.2, edited with Premiere Pro, with original music scores and narration by Jophiel Theo Rodriguez, The Rift showcases the consequences of the lack of access of quality
education on a personal level. Featuring a lo-fi visual aesthetic influenced by 1990s low-budget indies, 2000s blockbusters, video game cutscenes, and botched film scans.
MMA155L - Illustration and Cartooning
This storybook project is dedicated to both the Illustration Cartooning and myself as an artist who has created these characters since I was grade 7th. This was edited and illustrated through IbispaintX and Canva. The storybook tackles the origins of my original characters, where it’s about a slow-burn love story between two artists from different fields.
MMA133L - Cinematography
Tristesse comes from the mind of our director, Elise De Vera, and follows a day in the life of Tope as he navigates his emotions, his memories and his relationships with the only two people in the world that mattered to him after having spent some time apart from them.
Tope tackles his grief with the unexpected passing of Natnat, one of the two of his friends, which prompts an uneasy reunion with Enya, his long-distance lover from whom he also has not heard from in a while and the third friend in their group, as she had been avoiding him for reasons of her own.
This sparks an uncomfortable conversation that reveals some pretty dark secrets involving the three main characters of our story, with Tope being caught in the center of it all.
MMA141L - Branding Communication and Design
Envisioned by bridging the tequila brand, 818, and a fictional concept store called Venus Studio, Lumin is made as a coconut-infused tequila brand that is rooted in the concepts of balance, one’s home, and craftsmanship; all of which are values I hold close as an artist.
Flow, continuity, warmth and strength are Lumin’s main accords. Further portrayed by its abstract logo mark, combined as a single representation of the sun on the horizon, and those of agave leaves.
