Tech Talks & Trailblazing: Enov8tive Inspires Future Creators at Mapúa MCM

Mapúa Malayan Colleges Mindanao (Mapúa MCM), through the Office for Corporate Partnerships – Center for Career and Placement, successfully hosted another installment of the Employer in the Classroom Program (ECP) titled “Application Development and Emerging Technology” last June 2, 2025, from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM, at Room R314 of the Mapúa MCM Academic Building. The event brought together students from the BS Entertainment and Multimedia Computing (EMC) and BS Information Systems programs for an engaging and forward-thinking session that connected academic learning with real-world innovation.

The event featured Mr. Jason Ellice Madrazo, Senior Software Engineer at Enov8tive, who shared his insights and experiences from the evolving tech industry. In his talk, Mr. Madrazo emphasized the importance of continuous learning and embracing the intersection of creativity and technology. He inspired students by saying, The field of entertainment and multimedia computing, and information systems is dynamic and exciting. My challenge to you learners is to embrace learning, seek out mentors, and not be afraid to try different paths. The future of technology needs your unique blend of artistry as well as engineering. Go out there and build amazing things and entertain, inform, solve problems and make an impact.”

Alongside Mr. Madrazo were notable guests from Enov8tive, including Michael Mon, Jun Taleon, Jr., Amor Crisostomo, Stephanie Jacinto, and Carlito Crisostomo, who provided valuable support and demonstrated the company’s commitment to nurturing future tech professionals.

The program was designed to provide students with real-world perspectives from industry professionals, bridge the gap between academic theories and current industry practices, and help students develop the mindset and competencies needed to thrive in creative and tech-driven industries. It also served as a platform for early career exploration, personal goal-setting, and strengthening institutional ties with industry leaders.

This initiative also aligns with key Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs): SDG 4 (Quality Education) by enhancing academic learning through industry collaboration; SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth) by preparing students for future employment; SDG 9 (Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure) by promoting awareness of emerging technologies; and SDG 17 (Partnerships for the Goals) by fostering collaboration between academia and the tech industry.

Through programs like the ECP, Mapúa MCM reaffirms its commitment to holistic student development—preparing learners to be creative innovators, critical thinkers, and impactful professionals in the digital world.
