89th National Book Week

Book Donation Drive

MECHANICS AND GUIDELINES

  1. Mapúa MCM Students, Faculty, Non-teaching personnel may donate the following books: Children’s Story Books, Reference Books, Comic Books, Novels, and Magazines.
  2. Books should be in good condition.
  3. Bring the desired book for donation at the CLIR department from November 24- December 2, 2022.
  4. For every book donated it is equivalent to one (1) raffle entry.
  5. Winner will be announced on December 2, 2023, at 4:00 pm via the CLIR Facebook page.

College

MECHANICS AND GUIDELINES

  1. The contest is open to all Mapúa Malayan Colleges Mindanao College Students.
  2. The movie lines from movies adapted from a book will be posted.
  3. The movie lines will be posted on the Center for Learning and Information Resources Facebook page, one in the morning and one in the afternoon.
  4. A link to the Microsoft form will be posted along with the movie lines, where participants must enter their complete name and ID number, program, year level for verification, and answer.
  5. The first student to respond to the link with the correct answer will be declared the winner.
  6. The time and date of the response entered in the form will be used to determine the winner.
  7. Winners will be announced on the CLIR Facebook page at the end of the day.

PRIZES

  1. Ten (10) winners will be selected for this event.
  2. Each winner will receive School Merchandise and Certificate of Recognition.

MECHANICS AND GUIDELINES

  1. The contest is open to all Mapúa Malayan Colleges Mindanao College and High School Students.
  2. Participants may claim their CLIR BINGO CARD at the Library Circulation Counter.
  3. Participant should like and follow the Center for Learning and Information Resources Facebook page to claim their CLIR BINGO CARD.
  4. Contest will start on November 24, 2023 (7:00 am) and will end on November 29, 2023 (7:00 pm). 
  5. All participants will have to accomplish five (5) tasks in a row, either horizontally, vertically, or diagonally to win CLIR BINGO. (Show samples in pictures).
  6. All participants must access Wiley and post their chosen book with a hashtag #MMCMCLIR #WILEY #NBW2023
  7. Once they accomplish a task, students should bring their CLIR BINGO card to the circulation counter to get a sticker.
  8. Once all five (5) tasks are completed, participants must submit their CLIR Bingo Card.
  9. All completed CLIR Bingo cards will be eligible for the raffle entry.
  10. Only one 1st Prize winner worth ₱5,000.00 will be selected from the  College and High School Department. 
  11. There will be two winners for 2nd Prize and two winners for 3rd Prize. One from the High School and one from the College department.
  12. Cards with BLACKOUT entry will have a chance of winning a special prize from Wiley.

MECHANICS AND GUIDELINES

  1. The contest is open to all Mapúa MCM College Students.
  2. Each participant shall submit one (1) entry only.
  3. The poster must illustrate, interpret, and emphasize the theme of the 89th National Book Week Celebration with the theme: “Read, Reread, Relive”.
  4. Participants may use any editing software (Adobe Photoshop, Microsoft PowerPoint, Canva etc).
  5. The poster must be in the following specifications:
    Size: A4 (8.27″ x 11.69″) 300 DPI, Portrait
  6. Participants are strictly advised to submit original work and avoid using elements on the poster which could possibly subject it to copyright infringement.
  7. For verification purposes, a timelapse video recording of the participant creating the artwork is also required. Non-compliance may mean disqualification.
  8. The poster and attached requirements must be uploaded in the SharePoint folder provided by CLIR. File name should be in the following format:
    a. Poster Entry (PE Last Name, First Name)
    b. Timelapse Video (TLV Last Name, First Name)
  9. Submitted entries will be posted on the CLIR Facebook page.
  10. By joining the competition, each participant grants the MMCM-CLIR permission to use his/her complete name, e-mail, and art entry for publicity purposes without payment of additional consideration, except were prohibited by law.

  3. Entry should not contain obscene, vulgar, offensive movements, words, and music.
  4. Entries must be posted with the hashtags #MMCMBookTok #MMCMNationalBookWeek2023
  5. Participant/s must submit the TikTok video link through a Microsoft form.
  6. Submitted entries will be posted on the Center for Learning and Information Resources Facebook page.

  3. Contestants will take a photo using the book to augment or obscure parts of their faces or bodies.
  4. Entries must be submitted through a Microsoft form.
  5. Submitted entries will be posted on the Center for Learning and Information Resources Facebook page.

MECHANICS AND GUIDELINES

  1. The contest is open to all Mapúa MCM Junior High School and Senior High School Students.
  2. Students must read any CLIR books and find a quote that is relatable to their daily experiences/challenges.
  3. A quote will be read on the circulation desk.
  4. Participants will be given 5 minutes to read/share their selected quote with a reflection.

10 Student/s will be given MMCM Merchandise
10 Student/s will receive 100 G-Cash consolation prize
