On December 1, 2023, Mapúa Malayan Colleges Mindanao (Mapúa MCM) hosted an event at the Seda Hotel, creating an atmosphere of gratitude and collaboration. The event was a heartfelt expression of gratitude for the invaluable contributions of the school’s diverse partners in business, academia, community service, government, and research. Engr Alejandro H. Ballado, Jr., EVP/COO shared in his welcome remarks that aside from being a celebration of gratitude, “the agenda is set to spark insightful discussions, foster meaningful networks, and pave the way for future endeavors that promise mutual growth and success.”
The gathering provided an ideal setting for fostering connections and celebrating the partnerships that exist between Mapúa MCM and its esteemed collaborators. This gathering not only recognized the essential role each partner plays in the institution’s success, but also underscored the importance of collaborative efforts in advancing education, community service, and research initiatives. President and CEO of Mapúa Malayan Colleges Mindanao, Dr Dodjie S. Maestrecampo also gave a message to the partners. He expressed his gratitude saying that the partnership has been invaluable in providing real-world platforms necessary for the students to engage in these transformative experiences. “As we celebrate our alliance today we are reminded of the vital role you play in this holistic approach to education. Your partnership is more than a bridge from academia to industry. It is an essential contributor to the socio-economic development of our society. Together we have created opportunities that extend beyond our institution’s walls.”
The event became a symbol of the strong bonds that have been forged between Mapúa MCM and its partners as stakeholders mingled and shared insights. The event demonstrated the school’s commitment to developing and nurturing meaningful relationships that go beyond the classroom. Leopoldo D. Aquino, Jr., Director – Office of Corporate Partnerships (OCP) shares that a significant highlight of the event was the presentation of video testimonies from selected partners, providing insights into how past collaborations have been mutually beneficial for both parties and the wider Mapúa MCM community. “As we listened to these testimonials, it became evident that the event achieved its goals and can be proudly declared a success.”
In thanking its partners, Mapúa MCM emphasized the importance of collaborative efforts in creating a positive and impactful educational experience. Marycon C. Delos Reyes, Head for Center for Service-Learning and Community Engagement (CSCE) says that “to maintain the momentum and connections established at the lunch, constant communication, will be done to ensure that our great rapport with them will continue.” Dr. Gernelyn T. Logrosa, Head of Office for Research, Development, and Innovation (ORDI) explains that by setting follow up meetings and presenting updated research finding on a regular basis to keep the partners posted, connected, and involved in every research project, Mapúa MCM can maintain strong partnerships.The gathering demonstrated the enduring spirit of cooperation, emphasizing the shared vision for a brighter and more collaborative future.
